Mechanism-level pharmacology, clinical-trial experience
I understand drugs down to the mechanism — targets, enzymes and transporters, and how they shape pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics — and I know from the inside how clinical trials are run.
I am a pharmacist licensed in Bulgaria — not in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand (MPharm, Medical University of Varna). I have worked as a community pharmacist and as a pharmacy manager, and as a Medical Representative at Zentiva. I also worked as a Clinical Trial Associate, helping prepare hospital sites for clinical trials and keeping trial records complete and inspection-ready.
In pharmacy practice I carried out the standard dispensing procedures for prescription and over-the-counter medicines, including prescriptions reimbursed by Bulgaria's National Health Insurance Fund (NZOK), watched for potential drug interactions, and advised customers on food supplements. I analyse clinical and scientific literature and turn it into precise, evidence-based writing. I am trained in ICH-GCP, informed consent and safety reporting.
I am developing a tool that calculates the maximum permitted doses of food supplements under EU legislation (EUR-Lex) and flags potential pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions, including those mediated by CYP enzymes and transporters. I am also deepening my knowledge of pharmacogenomics (CPIC and DPWG guidelines).
